Chief Minister of India’s Gujarat state visits flood affected areas of Gujarat

According to media report, Vijay Rupani, the Chief Minister of India’s Gujarat state reportedly visited worst affected villages in Kankrej talukas which are still in marooned conditions, and also he will visit Patan, the second worst affected district of North Gujarat, saying that timely rescue by NDRF, SDRF, Army and Air force have saved the lives of more than £8,000, said news report.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, said that Government will give possible help to restore normalcy in the flood affected areas, reportedly the Government has also handed over the cheque of Rs. two crore as death compensation to the family members of 34 flood victims, and after the completion of survey, government will start to give compensation for damage to the properties.

Reportedly flood like situation is continued in several villages in Gudamalani area of Barmer district where several victims have been evacuated safely.

It is also reported that the rail services have been affected due to heavy rain, said media news report.
